March 5.
Mrs. Rovin is survived by her husband,

She was the loving mother of the late

PEGGY JEWEL SAKS, 73, former
Detroiter of Charlotte, N.C., died Feb. 21.
Mrs. Saks had been a resident of
Chailotte since 1997 and volunteered at
Presbyterian Hospital. She was daughter of
the late Edward Greenfield and the late
Bessie Sellings Greenfield.
She is survived by her husband,
Bernard Saks; daughter and son-in-law
Karen Saks and Gary Rodden; sister and
brother-in-law Mr. and Mrs. Howard
Kronick; niece Joanne Dean; nephew
Richard Kronick.

Woods, died March 4.
Blake is survived by his parents, Dr.
Guy and Gina Saperstein; sister Stephanie;

EVELYN SHARKUS, 78, of Oak Park,
died March 4.
Mrs. Sharkus was a retired bookkeeper.
She was a member of the Multiple
Sclerosis Society and Jewish Women
International.
Mrs. Sharkus is survived by her daugh-
ter and son-in-law, Roberta and Jeffrey
Peterman of White Lake; grandchildren
Devin Bolvari, Shana Bolvari and Daniel
Peterman; sisters and brother-in-law Ethel
Susman, Rosalyn and Ralph Stone; and
many nieces and nephews.
She was the beloved wife of the late
Frank Sharkus and the dear sister of the
late Della Bronstein.

DR. ZWI STEIGER, 77, of Southfield,
died March 3.
Dr. Steiger was a thoracic surgeon at the
VA Hospital and Harper Hospital and a
professor of thoracic surgery at Wayne State
University Medical School. He was a gradu-7,
ate of Karlova University Medical School in \
Prague. He was a member of the American \
College of Surgeons, American College of
Chest Physicians and American Association
for Thoracic Surgery. Dr. Steiger was a
member of Congregation Shaarey Zedek.
He is survived by his wife, Amelia; sons
David and Jacob; brother and sister-in-law,
Dov and Yael Sion of Israel.

DR. HARRY WAX, 72, of West
Bloomfield, died March 2. Dr. Wax was a
dentist who had a practice in Flint.
He is survived by his wife, Lubena Wax;

son-in-law Andrea and Joe Novnou of
Washington; grandchildren Jessica and
Samantha Wax, Tracie, Jamie and Zachary

died March 3. Mrs. Weiss was a bookkeeper
and secretary.

Mrs. Weiss was the beloved wife of the
late Irving Weiss and the dear sister of the
