Como's is one of the few places
around where people can get a meal at
3:30 in the morning on Fridays and
Saturdays ... Folks working at bars and
other restaurants especially love
Como's after their own places of oper-
ation have closed.
It is open seven days ... Monday-
Thursday, 11 a.m. to 2 a.m.; Friday
and Saturday, 11 a.m. to 3:30 a.m.;
Sunday, 11 a.m. to 2 a.m.
George Jr. always did want a full
menu of Italian dining with large vari-
ety ... and has it ... coming up with
the menus and training the kitchen
help in the preparation of his recipes.
These dishes are served by probably
one of the finest aggregations of wait-
persons anywhere ... all with long
lengths of service.
Rose Balowski has been at Como's
35 years; Fran Keating, 24 years;
Roberta (Bobbie) Waszelewski, 23 years;
Jackie Leggio, 27 years; Sally Gordon,
20 years (the last five as manager); and
Pat Shirley, the "baby" at nine years.
You'll find no linen tablecloths and
no linen napkins at Como's Italian-
American Restaurant ... But what you
will discover is some of the best food
around ... at prices that are lower
because of no linen.
The comfortable and casual pizze-
ria-like style of dining at Como's
Italian-American Restaurant leaves lit-
tle wonder why it has become the
favorite of so many.
