Ms. Tilchin was registrar and director of financial aid at Camp Tamarack from 1976-1992. She was president of Congregation Beth Shalom from 1985- 1987, an executive board member of the Fresh Air Society and a long- time supporter and volunteer for many Jewish and charitable organi- zations.
