Joshua Daniel Rotenberg will be called
to the Torah as a bar mitzvah on
Saturday, Feb. 27, at Temple Kol Ami.
Rabbi Norman Roman and Rabbi Ernst
Conrad will lead the services.
Josh is the son of
Kathy and Stuart
Rotenberg, brother of
Allison and grandson
of Milt and Terry
Rotenberg of West
Bloomfield and the
late Odem and
Emma Bailey, who
were from
Wyandotte.
Josh is an honor student at Clifford
Smart Middle School in Walled Lake.
He enjoys baseball, basketball, skiing,
horseback riding and photography. He
also plays clarinet in the school band.
His mitzvah projects included gener-
ating funds for the temple's Housing the
Homeless project by collecting dona-
tions of deposit bottles and cans and
money from neighbors. In addition, he
helped make lunches for the 30 people
in that project. Josh also participated in
a marathon called Jump Rope for Heatt;
the proceeds were donated to the
American Heart Association.

Jeffrey Samuel Benjamin Milstein of
Oak Park will be a bar mitzvah at
Congregation Beth Shalom on Saturday,
Feb. 27. Rabbi
Nelson and Cantor
Greenbaum will lead
the services.
Participating in the
ceremony will be his
parents, Alan and
Jeanne Milstein.
Proud grandparents
are Gert Milstein of
West Bloomfield and Jan Nagwekar of
Southfield. He is also the grandson of
the late Leonard Milstein and the late
Natalie Nagwekar.
Jeffrey is a student at Norup Middle
School in Oak Park. He has a red belt in
karate. He loves to skateboard. Mitzvah
projects included going to the Evergreen
Heath nursing home in Southfield; he
will bring them mishloach manot for
Purim.
