Not An Imitation The RealThingl

Tommy Peristeris and Rick Rogow

invite you to join us for lunch or dinner 7 days a week

Moishe takes by the hand and walks
around the restaurant, have their own
separate menu ... Some ask Morris
what they should eat and when he
asks what they like best, many of the
kiddies say; "You, Uncle Moishe!"
The populariry of Steamers Seafood
Grill has grown ... So much so that, on
weekends, the restaurant gets crowded
in a hurry ... And this packed attention
has also started to drift during the week
... The location is ideal and Steamers
gives a lot of tasty food for the money.
And then there is Moishe.
WHEN IT BECAME a fund raiser
in 1985, Chuck Ivluer's goal was to
raise $1 million ... That first Chuck
Muer's Salmon Stakes Fishing
Tournament brought in $16,000 ...
Now, with another annual tourney set
for April 24, it has already gone over
the $1 million mark.
Gracious and dedicated Diana Lewis
of WXYZ-TV Ch. 7, honorary chair-
person for the second straight year, and
hubby Glenn braved the rains last year,
fishing for salmon ... Another
$100,000 is expected in the benefit for
the Blue Water Mental Health Clinic,
helping troubled children, adults and
their families throughout Michigan.
There are no losing tickets because,
after the tournament, all can be
turned in for $10 off dinner for two at
any Chuck Muer restaurant.
Fishermen must pre-register for the
tourney, which runs from 6 a.m. to 1
p.m. ... But families enjoy the day at
the River Crab restaurant, with festivi-
ties including an outdoor barbecue,
live entertainment, silent auction, chil-
dren's activities, etc.
Tickets are at all Chuck Muer
restaurants, many family service agen-
cies, various sporting goods stores and
marinas ... For more info and to get
tickets by charge account, call Ruth
Rhoades at Chuck Muer's Blue Water
Inn, 1-800-468-3727.
THERE'LL SOON be another
kosher restaurant with seats in the
Northwest area ... Probably a couple
of weeks and booths will be added at
Rita Jerome's Unique Kosher Carry-
Out on Greenfield in Oak Park.
CONGRATS ... to Bob Eston
on his 80th birthday.
ONE OF THE food hits at the
recent second annual Swingtime '99
by Fanclub Foundation For The Arts
was Roquefort Grapes from Edwards
Cafe in Northville, says Heidi
Brandemihl ... The stuffed grapes are
rolled in chopped nuts and make a
delicious appetizer.
Raves also, says Heidi, for the
stuffed roulades by Excalibur, roasted
