The Jewish Community Council is bringing the Jewish community to your
doorstep with a series of Town Hall Meetings geared toward your unique
needs and concerns as a Jewish member of your community. Each meeting
will take place in an area where a new pocket of Jewish growth is emerging.

Nadel said. "We'll try to get links off
of their sites."
The site is not limited to Chabad:
anyone Jewish is eligible. "There are
other dating Web sites for Jews," said
Nadel, who serves as Web master for
the Jewish MichigaNet, the on-line
home for the Orthodox in Michigan.
"This is more for people who are affil-
iated with the Chabad movement at
various levels."
However, one of the questions on
the questionnaire asks about affiliation.

FOR: GROSSE POINTE AREA RESIDENTS

THURSDAY, MARCH 4, at 8:00 p.m.
Grosse Pointe War Memorial
32 Lake Shore Drive
Grosse Pointe Farms

The responses, already pre-pro-
grammed on a pull-down menu, range
from Orthodox-Chabad to unaffiliated.
Liability concerns are covered by a
detailed "terms and conditions" page,
which includes a legal agreement, and a
privacy protection page. The registra-
tion form's last section involves agree-
ment and final submission of the appli-
cation; the menu is automatically set to
"no" and must be changed to "yes" for
these final two questions. Otherwise,
the form won't go through. II

Jewish musicians are invited to
I
send their music on a compact
disc or via Real Audio for the
Internet on either a Zip disk or
e-mail for consideration to be played.
The scavenger hunt is designed for teens — groups or individuals — to go
online and learn about "leaders, and get to know one another while exploring
universal religious concepts of peace, tolerance and respecting others."
The hunt will conclude with an online party for groups "to discuss practicing
peace, thinking about the small and important ways of being peaceful and meet-
ing new friends during the week."
For singles, there will be a live cybercast of Rebbetzen Esther Jungries' Torah
study that has attracted more than 1,000 people every Tuesday night in New
York City with an emphasis on helping Jewish people meet each other.
On Feb. 24-25, two online parties are scheduled in five cities and will be con-
nected via video and satellite. Exact restaurants or bars for the parties haven't
been determined.
An online education symposium will provide educators with resources for
technology and Jewish education, conferences that deal with education and tech-
nology concepts and issues, online games, and learning software and online
resources for the holidays of Purim and Passover.
