More than 100 guests were treated to brunch and an exquisite display of jewelry, fine china, crystal, sterling silver and gifts for the bridal party. The bridal fashions were from Alvin's Bride. The Townsend Bakery pre- pared beautiful wedding cakes, while Marley's dis- played fabulous floral arrangements. Many guests commented on the gorgeous table cloths and napkins provided by Party Linens. OPERA PERFORMANCE Jillian Wallach, a seventh grade student at Dunkel Middle School in Farmington Hills and daughter of Howard and Stacy Wallach, has been selected to sing in the upcoming per- formance of the opera Carmina Burana with the Rackham Symphoa* Choir and the Eisenhower Dance Ensemble tonight at the Macomb Center of the Performing Arts. Jillian's opera career began because of an elementary school talent show. A parent attending the talent show suggested that Jillian try out for Carmen because she had "perfect pitch." Jillian performed in Carmen at the Detroit Opera House a few years ago. "She has this passion and never had a voice lesson," said mom Stacy Wallach. "She really has a gift." JUDAIC STUDIES ANNIVERSARY In celebration of the 10th anniver- sary of the Cohn-Haddow Center for Judaic Studies at Wayne State University there will be a banquet 6:15 p.m. Monday, March 8, at Adat Shalom. Dinner will be followed by a public lecture at 8:15 by Dr. Jeffery Shandler of New York University on "The Urban Jewish Landscape in Television: A Multimedia Presentation."
