Not An Imitation The Real Thing!

Tommy Peristeris and Rick Rogow

invite you to join us for lunch or dinner 7 days a week

This is John's 26th year of
managing restaurants ... including
three years as manager of
Meriwethers for Chuck Muer ... But
this is the First time he can use the
owner title ... and he wears it with
much pride ... something, too, that
goes a long way in customer satisfac-
tiOrl.
Customers are seated with crack-
ers and special cheese, prepared at
Brandy's ... This is to take the edge
off while waiting for their order to
be presented.
So the next time you go to
Brandy's, ask for a booth ... you'll be
certain to get one because that's all
there is.
But more so, ask for whatever
pleases you the most on its menu ...
and see why so many folks are
returning for more.
A FINE HEALTH - incentive for
people to dine in particular restau-
rants will soon become a reality.
Bill Carlson, supervisor at the
Oakland County Health Division, is
certain that a great idea will be
approved.
Food Safety Excellence Award
plaques will be given to those restau-
rants who meet the high sanitation
standards set forth by the Oakland
County Health Division.
The positive-thinking idea, pro-
posed by the Oakland County Focus
Group of about 24 restaurants, has
been worked on and Finalized by a
committee within the group.
The manager or owner must be
certified in service sanitation ... The
restaurant must have a continuous,
in-house, safe-food training program
... The facility must have been in
operation by the same owner or
manager for at least two years and
received four inspections ...
Establishments must not have an
excessive amount of critical viola-
tions.
What these awards will obviously
do ... because the criteria will be so
high ... is promote added food safety
confidence among consumers ... and
give a positive message about a
restaurant.
IT WAS OPENED on a holiday
that promotes love ... And this
Sunday, Feb. 14, Valentine's Day,
will celebrate its second anniversary.
The Sheik restaurant on Orchard
Lake Road, between Pontiac Trail
and Lone Pine, has continued its
love-making with food recipes cus-
tomers enjoy with regularity.
The over 5,000 who passed its
doors in its first week of opening has
