escorted door-to-door transporta-
tion, by appointment, 7 a.m.-7 p.m.
Monday through Thursday, and 7
a.m.-5 p.m. on Friday. Fees are on a
sliding scale, based on ability to pay.

Mitzvah Candles
For Students

Yad Ezra will distribute candles to
students who perform at least six
hours of community service at the
/ip,osher food pantry prior to their
bar/bat mitzvah.
The specially designed candle can
be used at a candlelighting ceremony
in recognition of the student's mitz-
vah and will serve as a reminder of
those less fortunate in our commu-
nity.

David Blewett
Gives Talk

(

David Blewett, executive director of
the Ecumenical Institute for Jewish-
\_Christian Studies, will be the speaker
for the Zionist Organization of
America at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday,
Feb. 24, at the ZOA office, 17100
W. 10 Mile Road, Southfield.
Blewett, who also serves as presi-
dent of the National Christian
Leadership Conference for Israel,
will speak on "Christian Views of
Jews and Israel." The program is
%open to the public without charge.

Makes Introductions

Two new faces have appeared on the
scene in the Detroit metropolitan
area and both will be on the Shaarey
Zedek telecast during February.
Rabbi Joseph Krakoff has come to
Congregation Shaarey Zedek to
work with youth and seniors. David
Blewett is the new head of the
Ecumenical Institute.

Emanu-El
Day Camp Set

Day Camp enrollment is under way
at Temple Emanu-El nursery school
and kindergarten. The school offers
a variety of programs for children
age 2 through 6 years.
Highlights for 2- and 3-year olds
include water play and weekly visits
from a variety of entertainers and
farm animals. The 4-, 5-, and 6-
year-olds will enjoy weekly bussed
field trips, swimming at the JCC
and an accredited Safety Town pro-
gram in addition to art, sand and
water play, sports and computers.
The camp offers three 3-week ses-
sions. Half and full-day schedules
are available along with extended
care. The camp is staffed by regular
nursery teaching personnel.
Enrollment for nursery school,
kindergarten and Terrific Twos is
also under way. The kindergarten
includes a morning academic class
along with an afternoon enrichment
program featuring art, social studies,
science, cooking and Judaic activi-
ties.

Purim Tributes
Are Available

In keeping with the tradition of giv-
ing gifts to the poor on the holiday
of Purim, Yad Ezra will offer special-
ly designed Purim tribute cards
available for purchase.
Tribute cards come in packets of
four for $18 and are tax deductible.
The proceeds will be used to pur-
chase food for the needy families
assisted by Yad Ezra.
