• JERUSALEM has never been the capital of any other nation, nor the holiest of cities for any other religious
group,
• Three thousand years ago, King David made JERUSALEM his capital, No other nation, except ISRAEL, has
called JERUSALEM its capital before or since. JERUSALEM is the heart of the Jewish religion-mentioned in the
Hebrew Bible 656 times. The Muslim Koran ,does not mention JERUSALEM,
• For centuries, JERUSALEM was a Jewish city, In 1948, Arab armies seized the easter section and the Old City
killing 1,490 Jewish men, women and children, Fifty-eight ancient synagogues were demolished and priceless
Hebrew texts were destroyed. The homes, land, and possessions of the Jews were taken from them, During
the Arab occupation, no Jews were allowed to visit Jewish holy sites,
• On November 8, 1995, Congress passed the American Embassy Act, Public Law 104-45, calling for moving
the American Embassy from Tel Aviv to JERUSALEM. This law states that it is "The policy of the United States
Government that JERUSALEM should remain an undivided city-recognized as the capital of the State of
Israel". The law requires that U.S. to begin working towards the construction of an U.S. Embassy in JERUSALEM
that would be completed by May 31, 1999, Congress allocated funds for this Embassy move to JERUSALEM.
President Clinton has refused to implement this law,
Dear Mr. President:
Please implement the American Embassy Act, Public Law 104-45 that states:
• The American Embassy is to be relocated to JERUSALEM by May 31. 1999.
• That an undivided JERUSALEM remains the sovereign capital of Israel.
It is a matter of justice, long over due.
