Mr. Kaplan, along with his wife, ran General Meats processing plant in Chesaning until their retirement in 1974. During World War II, he served as an army recruitment officer. Mr. Kaplan was a member of Congregation Beth Israel in Flint, B'nai B'rith and the Jewish War Veterans. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Anne (Wapner) Kaplan; sons, Stephan Kaplan of Flint and Dr. Lauren Kaplan of White Lake; brother, Jacob (Edith) Kaplan of Oak Park; sisters-in- law, Doris Kaplan of Shaker Heights, Ohio, Jean (Dr. Albert) Sossner of Cranbury, N.J., Lillian Zirin of Tamarac, Fla., Judith Zlotkin of Howell, N.J.; brother-in-law, Donald Murray of Coral Gables, Fla. ARNOLD KASS, 87, of Oak Park, died Feb. 1. A 1936 graduate of the Wayne State University School of Medicine, Dr. Kass was engaged in family practice in Detroit until his retirement in 1976. In the 1950s he was also a staff physician at the Jewish Home for the Aged. During World War II he served as a captain in the U.S. Army Medical Corps. He was among the founders of the Hillel Day School and was a lifetime member of the Zionist Organization of America and B'nai B'rith. He was also a member of Adat Shalom Synagogue and the Downtown Synagogue. Dr. Kass is survived by his wife of 58 years, Regina; his sons, N. Roy (Judith) Kass of Washington, D.C., Robert (Sonjd.) Kass of Huntington Woods, and daughter, 1 Ruthellen (Dr. Robert) Singer of FarOFL. 34238. THEODORE P. (TEDDY) KRASS, 74, of Sarasota, Fla., died Jan. 13. Mr. Krass was the retired national sales director for Guardian Photo. He received the Victory Medal and the Bronze Star with the 82nd Airborne Division in France during World War II. He was a member of the Jewish War Veterans, Joseph Bale Post. He is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Harriett Krass; children, Carole and Steve Goff of Farmington Hills, Gordon and Debbi Krass of San Diego, Barbra and Stuart Burkow of San Diego, granddaughter, Danielle Goff; and grandsons, Jeremy Krass, Aaron Krass, and David Krass-Burkow. Interment was in Sarasota, Fla.
