Helping Hand

Yad Ezra was the recipient of a food collection
drive held by patrons of Tony n' Tina's Wedding
in Pontiac. The donated items were delivered to
the Oak Park-based kosher food pantry Feb. 4.

New Thinking
Series Starts

The Center for New Thinking's 1999
Sunday Alternative schedule opens with
"Kevorkian: His Murder Trail and the
Future of Planned Death." The program
will feature Jack Lessenberry, veteran
journalist and Wayne State University
professor, in dialogue with Sherwin
Wine, director of the Center for New
Thinking. The center's program is
scheduled for 10:30 a.m.-noon Sunday,
Feb. 14, at the Kingsley Inn, Bloomfield
Hills.
On Sunday, March 21, Sonya
Friedman, psychologist and star of AM
radio and television, will discuss "Anger:
Using and Controlling It."
Admission is $12 and includes a con-
tinental breakfast. Parking is located
