director of community relations for

Dr. Mark Neil Berkowitz of the

Dr. Michael Simon has received the
Excellence in Research Award for
Physicians presented by Blue Cross and_,
Blue Shield of Michigan Foundation. "-\
Simon is a breast cancer expert at the
Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer
Institute and received the award in the
policy research category for his study
published in the medical journal Breast
Cancer Research and Treatment. The
award provides $10,000 in research
funds to Karmanos.
