versy so many
years after it was
first published.

because of its prolific use of swear

words.
Many critics also have stepped
forward to assert that 17-year-old
Holden is no role model for today's
youth. That's where the New York
Times disagreed. Editors called him
as moral a character as has ever
appeared in American fiction."

that anyone who
criticizes you is an
absolute idiot.
Now, let's get
down to business.
Several months
ago I saw a televi-
sion program
about a man who
loves to cook and
eat insects. Posi-
tively revolting. Still,
I couldn't help but ponder which of
these dreadful creatures is kosher
— just in case this craze takes off,
in which case I should perhaps con-
sider opening my very own Kosher
Insects Restaurant.
I am wondering if you could give
me a complete list of kosher

insects?
We receive this question at least
five times a week here at Tell Me

The Mishnah notes the following
signs that show a kosher insect:
they must have four jointed legs,
and four wings that cover most of
the body. Tragically, this pretty
much limits it to the cricket,
grasshopper, bald locust and
