Peter Harris Eichenhorn will cele- brate his bar mitzvah at Temple Israel at Havdalah services on Saturday, Feb. 6. He is the son of Debra and Michael Eichenhorn and brorher of Carolyn and David. Proud grandparents are Dorothy Eichenhorn and James and Thelma Scully. He is also the grand- child of the late Harry Eichenhorn and the late Charlotte Scully. His most meaningful mitzvah project consisted of working to earn money to donate to ALS; he was also able to collect matching funds to contribute to research on this dis- ease. A West Hills Middle School student in Bloomfield Hills, Peter enjoys soccer, golf and chess. Loren Renee Shiener will be called to the Torah as a bat mitzvah on Saturday, Feb. 6, at Congregation Shaarey Zedek. Loren is the daugh- ter of Karen and Gerald Shiener and the sister of David Shiener. She is the granddaughter of Estelle and Gerald Rosen, Yetta Shiener and the late Phillip Shiener. Loren is a seventh-grade student at Abbott Middle School in West Bloomfield and is studying piano, ballet, tap and jazz dancing. She is also interested in figure skating, ski- ing and snorkeling. Loren enjoys drawing and participated in making art projects for hospitalized children as part of her mitzvah project. Ann Miriam Garoon was called to the Torah as a bat mitzvah on Saturday, Jan. 30, at Congregation B'nai Moshe. Ann is the daughter of Ronna Feldman and Zev Garoon, sister of Bradley and Tess. Proud grandparents are William and Yvette Feldman and Tzelia and Hersh Garoon of Beersheva, Israel. She is also the granddaughter of the late Ann Feldman. Ann attends West Hills Middle School in Bloomfield Hills. She served meals to the homeless on Christmas Day and her mitzvah pro- ject was with Yad Ezra. Ann enjoys volleyball and competitive swimming. Zachary Burton Fishman will be called to the Torah as a bar mitzvah at Temple Shir Shalom on Saturday, Feb. 6, at a 6 p.m. Havdalah service. He is the son of Ann and Marc Fishman and broth- er of Ryan. Proud grandparents are Barbara and Edward Burton an Jeanne and Art Fishman. Zak is a student at Bloomfield Hills Middle School in Bloomfield Hills, where his favorite subject is drama. He feels that his bar mitzvah is special to him because it proved that he is a responsible young per- son. Zak will be in Israel this spring with his grandparents Jeanne and Art Fishman and will have the honor of planting a tree there. Ryan Wolok will be called to the Torah as a bar mitzvah at Adat Shalom Synagogue on Saturday, Feb. 6. He is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Kenneth Wolok and brother to Jaclyn. He is the grandson of Theresa and Isadore Elias and Rose and Morris Wolok. An honor stu- dent at West Hills Middle School in Bloomfield Hills, Ryan enjoys soc- cer, hockey, basketball and tennis. For his mitzvah project, Ryan helped deliver and stock shelves for Yad Ezra and volunteered at Elan Village.
