Israeli House of Detroit will host an
evening of Israeli movies 7 p.m. Sunday,
Feb. 7, at the Kahn Jewish Community
Center.
The Israeli House is a program for
Israelis and Americans who want to
strengthen their connection to Israel
through cultural and social events. The
program exists in American cities with
large Jewish communities.
At 7 p.m., the film Pick a Card will
be shown, followed at 9 p.m. by Passover
Fever.
Light refreshments will be served.
The $5 admission fee will go toward
future events. The public is invited.
The Israeli movie evening is spon-
sored by the Michigan/Israel
Connection, the Jewish Federation of
Metropolitan Detroit and the Jewish
Community Center.

The Birmingham Temple will host
three evenings of book reviews by
Rabbi Sherwin Wine. The books
provide new perspectives on the
expression of anti-Semitism and
genocide.
Starting at 8 p.m. Monday, Feb.
1, Rabbi Wine will discuss My
German Question by Peter Gay. On
Monday, Feb. 8, he will review I
Will Bear Witness by Victor
Klemperer; and on Monday, Feb.
15, Memory's Tailor by Lawrence
Rudner. All forums will be at the
Birmingham Temple. They are open
to the public.

laser technologies in Israel for 20 years
and established and managed Israeli sub-

Early childhood Jewish educators are
invited to "An Evening of Recognition
and Learning" starting at 4 p.m.
Thursday, Feb. 11, at Temple Emanu-
El. The program is sponsored by the
Agency for Jewish Education and the
Michigan Jewish Association for the
Education of Young Children.
The evening will commence with a
keynote speech by Dan Hodgins, child
and family specialist who is host of a
PBS special, "Ready to Learn."
