The "Rave" and the "Blob" — a large air-filled mat in the water that allows campers to jump off and catapult others into the lake — are both used at Tamarack. But others U worry. "All those toys present some hazards," said Larry Z5 Stevens, director of Camp 9 Walden. "I'd be leary of using those objects in swim areas," said Stevens, who decided not to pur- chase a water slide for his camp. Friedman at Camp Tanuga also rejected a water slide because he didn't think there would be much demand. "Our clientele haven't been ask- ing for it," he said. "What new things we get won't be because other camps have it." While Finkelberg sees the activities changing, what camper's get from camp hasn't.
