Ant ' .. . . ., • • The Jewish Community Center of Metropolitan Detroit will host "Trees of Life," a family program for Tu B'Shevat. The free program will take place 6:30-8:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 28, at the jimmy Prentis Morris building and 1:30-3:30 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 31, at the Kahn JCC. The program is geared to families with children ages four-12. It will be an opportunity for children and parents to learn what Tu B'Shevat is all about through hands-on crafts and projects to take home. Activities will vary from pot- decorating and potting saplings, creating edible trees, puppet making, collage and recording family , trees. Each craft relates to biblical quotes and a variety of concepts such as justice, the environment, Torah lessons and Bible stories, rules and discipline and families. Families may participate in idea- sharing discussions, which will be pre- sented periodically during the program or discuss the ideas as a family unit using the packets provided to each fam- ily at the start of the program.
