At the Jewish Community Center's Summer Camps, we have a long history of
enriching our community's young people through stimulating and nurturing day
camp programming. Over the past several years, the staff and lay leadership
of the camps have been determined to provide your child with the best of
everything: counseling and administrative staff, program choices which meet
the unique needs and interests of today's youth, a safe and nurturing envi-
ronment, personal growth through skill development and the warmth of new
and long term friendships. We have undertaken intensive internal and exter-
nal reviews, listened to parental and camper feedback, visited camps nation-
wide, and invested time and resources into the enhancement of our camping

program.

IT HAS PAID OFF!

This past summer, the American Camping Association (ACA) accredited our
JCC Summer Camps. We couldn't have asked for more... your child deserves
to attend a camp which has attained the levels of excellence required by this
association, which sets the standards for camps throughout the nation. We
voluntarily allowed our practices to be compared with the standards estab-
lished by professionals in the camping industry and exceeded all expectations
in the areas of program quality, and the health and safety of campers and
staff ... the things that matter most to all of us. JCC Summer Camps were

rated outstanding in all areas, including facility, administration, transporta-
tion, personnel, programming, health care, and activities. We've worked hard
to earn your trust and confidence and are proud to provide summers of exhil-
aration, happiness, community-building and friendship for our community's
children, from preschoolers through teens.

The summer of 1999 offers more selections in four-week and one-week
camps, providing your child with the care and enrichment he or she deserves
from the time school lets out until the week school resumes. We know you
count on us and we continue to be proud and happy to plan your child's sum-
mer of fun! Watch your mail next month for our 1999 JCC Summer Camps
brochure or pick one up at the JCC in West Bloomfield or Oak Park. Your child
