ing, and she enrolled in night school
to acquire a master's in finance. She
has been in the investment industry
18 years, and was one of the first
women in the area. She joined
Munder Capital Management 10
ears ago and now ranks among the
most senior women in her field
nationally.
In addition to her volunteer work
for the Jewish Federation of
Metropolitan Detroit, Essick is a
board member of the Child Abuse
and Neglect Council of Oakland
County, Kadima and the Jewish
National Fund.
Essick and her 10-year-old daugh-
ter, Mara, attend Temple Shir
Shalom. She quotes Rabbi Dannel
