Eric and David went to New York
to research several soup operations
there ... But what they learned was
much more than just how difficult it
was to get soup in a large variety.
They discovered that soup had
become one of America's hottest
restaurant concepts ... "Soup mania is
simmering on the West Coast ... in
New York it's boiling over," said
Newsweek ... "Soup is hot ... not your
run-of-the-mill chicken noodle sold at
the local delicatessen or coffee shop

sands of soup-starved New Yorkers are
braving long lunch-hour lines ... for

bisques. Like most New York fashions,
the soup craze is slowly catching on

There is an old Yiddish saying,
"Troubles are easier to take with soup
than without."
For Eric and David, their "troubles"
began when they first opened their
doors ... The rotating number of 200
soups may not be enough.
THE THEME IS simple ... Every-
body has fun.
This is the motive behind the new
and interesting entertainment concept
that has already taken New York and
Chicago audiences by storm ... And has
come to this area with another bang.
It's the clever comedic Tony n' Tina's
Wedding, now upstairs at Baci Italian
Chop House in Pontiac.
The "You Are There" concept puts
folks smack dab in the middle of an
Italian wedding as family, friends and
acquaintances of Tony and Tina ...
enjoying a satirical, vigorous, humor-
ous reception with Ziti pasta buffet,
live music, dancing and wedding cake.
There's talented Jennifer Kahn as
the fun-loving and hot-tempered Tina;
Henrietta Hermelin (Weinberg), Nor-
way Ambassador David's sister, as
grandmother of the groom, showing
family photos to guests during the
reception; Julie.Yolles, wife of the
wedding's caterer, picking up finished
dishes, dancing, etc.
Wedding "guests" recently included
Betty and Fred Nederlander, David
Nederlander, Phyllis and Stan Satof-
sky, Heidi Brandemihl, Scott Patria,
Gail Zimmerman of The Jewish News
and daughter Julie Zimmerman. Julie
danced with members of the wedding
party and remarked, "It's like paying
to ao at a bar mitzvah."
