"I was always on my own beaten
path," she says. "My work and trav-
els have allowed me to be my deter-
mined self and encourage explo-
ration. I don't like to think of what
I've created as traditional jewelry. I
want each piece to become part of
the person who has it. Wearing the
jewelry makes it something to be
shared with viewers."
