Bar/Bat Mitsvah

Elizabeth Dann Seagle was called to
the Torah as a bat
mitzvah on Satur-
day. Dec. 5, ar Con-

Center. She is the
daughter of Miriam
and Peter Seagle and
the sister of Olivia
Scagle. Elizabeth is
the granddaughter of Barbara and
Harold Berry and of William Seagle
and the late Barbara Seagle. An honor
student at Hillel Day School in Farm-
ington Hills, Elizabeth is interested in
acting, dancing, music and sports.
Among her mitzvah projects, she vol-
unteered at Yad Ezra and participated
in the Doll Project.

Noah Brown Smith celebrated his bar
mitzvah on Saturday, Dec. 12, at Con-
gregation Shaarey
Zedek B'nai Israel
Center. He is the son
of Barbara and Levi
Smith and brother of
Chelsea and Asa.

Hills, Noah plays on the football, bas-
ktball and track teams. He was a
member of the 1998 Detroit N/laccabi
track team, enjoys water skiing, base-
ball and golf, and is a regular attendee
at 1VISU athletic events.

Melissa Erin Schwartz will be called

urday, Dec. 19. She
is the daughter of
Cindy and Steven
Schwartz, sister of
Jaclyn and grand-
child of Raymond
and Karen Feldman.
Melissa also is the
granddaughter of the
late Henry and
Emily Schwartz and the late Melvina
Feldman.
Melissa is an honor student at
Warner Middle School in Farmington
Hills. She enjoys dancing, skiing and
computers. The mitzvah projects she
found most rewarding were working
at Gleaners Food Bank and volunteer-
ing for the younger children at Con-
gregation B'nai Moshe during the
High Holidays and special programs.

Sari Brooke Gordon celebrated her
bat mitzvah on Saturday, Dec. 12, at
Adat Shalom Syna-
gogue. She is the
daughter of Susan
and Dr. Craig Gor-
don and the sister of
Scott and Brittany.
Proud grandparents
are Betty and Bernard
Blase and Shirley and
Maury Gordon. She
also is the granddaughter of the late
Shirley P. Gordon.
Sari is an honor student at Orchard
Lake Middle School in West Bloomfield.
She enjoys piano, dancing and listening
to music. Her most meaningful mitzvah
project was the Hadassah doll project.
