Two Lead Bonds'
Women's Division

Marjorie Krasnick and Bluma
Schechter, longtime Israel Bonds
leaders, have been appointed co-
chairwomen of the Metro Detroit
State of Israel Bonds Women's
Division.
Krasnick, who has been actively
involved with Israel Bonds for the
past 15 years, serves on the Women's
Division Board and has co-chaired
the Annual Art and Home Tour with
Mrs. Schechter. She serves on the
boards of the Jewish Federation of
Metro Detroit Women's Division, the
Jewish Federation Apartments and
the Jewish Historical Society
Advisory Board. She has served as a
board member and ad book co-chair-
man for Juvenile Diabetes, past board
member of the Michigan Association
of Calligraphers and has done volun-
teer work for National Council of
Jewish Women and other organiza-
tions.

Schechter is a graduate of the
University of Michigan and has
taught elementary school. She has
been actively involved with Israel
Bonds for the past 15 years as a board
member of Women's Division and co-
chair of the Annual Art and Home
Tour. She is a volunteer worker for
the Jewish Federation, has served the
National Council of Jewish Women
both as a court appointed special
advocate and a board member and has
worked on Council's "Family to
Family" program.

Beth Shalom
Chanukah Party

Congregation Beth Shalom will host
a Great Chanukah (don't) Blow-Out
6 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 19. The
evening includes a Havdalah service,
an Israeli-style torch relay race fol-
lowed by an Israeli dinner and
dessert, as well as a $10,000 raffle
drawing. Bring your own Chanukiah.
Candles and a roll-your-own beeswax
Shamash will be provided. Children's
activities include a storyteller and
game room, as well as laser tag for
high schoolers. For the adults, there
will be karaoke, a talent show, mah
jongg and the viewing of a British
television comedy. Pre-registration
price is $20/adult, $10/child, family
cap-rate/$60; at the door price
$25/adult, $12/child, no family cap-
rate; children four and under/free.
