On The Cover:

Daniel Benaderet
Age 6

A resident of West
Bloomfield who attends Akiva
Hebrew Day School.

Daniel, according to his
parents, Avie and Susan
Benaderet, "likes to draw. He
is very creative and has lots of
energy.
The third of five children,
Daniel is a kindergartner at
Akiva.
His entry was one of 88 in
the age 6-and-under category.
There were 153 entries in the
7-9 age group, and 57 in the 10-12 category.
All of the contest entries will be displayed
throughout Chanukah at the Jimmy Prentis
Morris Jewish Community Center in Oak
Park.
Daniel Benaderet will receive $100 from The
Jewish News as the grand prize winner in the
Chanukah Art Contest, in addition to having
his artwork displayed on today's cover. First
place winners in each age group won $18.
