Bar/Fiat Mitzvah

Jeffrey Scott Herman will observe his
bar mitzvah at Temple Israel on Satur-
day, Dec. 12. He is
the son of Cathy and
Gregg Herman and
brother of Daniel and
Emily. Proud grand-
parents are Phyllis
and Lary Agree and
;7) Arlene and Morton
Herman.
Jeffrey attends
Abbott Middle School in West
Bloomfield, where he is an honor stu-
dent, plays in the symphony band and
on the football team. His hobbies
include baseball, football, snowboard-
ing, tennis and music. He found vol-
unteering at a JARC home a meaning-

ful part of the mitzvah program.

Joey Bohm Rosenman will celebrate
his bar mitzvah on Saturday, Dec.
12, at Temple
Israel. He is the son
of Debbie and Alon
Rosenman, brother
of Adam and grand-
son of Ada Bohm
and Nushka Rosen-
man. He is also the
grandchild of the
late Herman Bohm
and the late Lonik Rosenman.
An honors student at Berkshire
Middle School in Walled Lake, Joey
is interested in sports, performing in
musicals and drawing. An especially
meaningful mitzvah project was col-
lecting new baby books for distribu-
tion to a teenage fathers program in
Flint to encourage early reading in
underprivileged homes.

Jamie Elizabeth Hillenberg will
become a bat mitzvah on Saturday,
Dec. 12, at Temple
Kol Ami. She is the
daughter of Cindy
and Bruce Hillen-
berg and the sister of
Lindsay. Her proud
grandparents are
Nathan and Sally
Saginaw and Flo-
rence and Sidney
Hillenberg.
Jamie is an honor student at Warn-
er Middle School in Farmington Hills.
For her mitzvah projects, Jamie
worked at Yad Ezra, babysat on the
High Holy Days and helped out at the
temple when they were housing the
homeless. Jamie enjoys dance, basket-

ball, water skiing, tennis and softball.
Lauren Elizabeth Fries will celebrate
her bat mitzvah at
Temple Beth El on
Friday, Dec. 11.
Lauren is the
daughter of Robert
and Faye Fries and
sister of Michael.
Proud grandparents
are Carl and Myra
Gornbein, Barbara Burris and Leo
Fries.
Lauren is an honor student at East
Hills Middle School in Bloomfield
Hills. She enjoys skiing and the
Drama Club. Lauren's mitzvah pro-
jects include preparing and serving
food at COTS and volunteering at the
Humane Society.

Gina Nicole Rozman
will become a bat
mitzvah on Friday,
Dec. 11, at Temple
Beth El. The daugh-
ter of Sandra and
Douglas Rozman,
Gina is the grand-
daughter of Flora and
Edward Rozman and
the late Gizella and Henry Tobet.
An honor student at Warner Middle
School in Farmington Hills, Gina
enjoys playing the flute and drawing.
She has been an avid reader since the
age of two. Gina is also a member of
Warner's track team.
For her mitzvah project, Gina vol-
unteered at the Beth El religious school
on Sunday mornings. She plans to con-
tinue her work there after her bat
mitzvah.
