Bar/Bat Mitzvah Benjamin Marcuson will be called to the Torah as a bar mitzvah Saturday, Dec. 12, at Congre- gation B'nai Moshe. Benjamin is the son of Debbie and Phillip Marcuson and the brother of Beth. He is the grandson of Kathy and Norman Stricof, Jack and Vivian Marcuson and the late Benjamin Kahn. Benjamin is a seventh-grade stu- dent at Hillel Day School in Farming- ton Hills, where he received honor student recognition in English studies. Benjamin enjoys sports, music, corn- puters, video games and playing pool. He participated in Dor L:Dor as his mitzvah project. Sabrina Dianne Raben will become a bat mitzvah on Friday, Dec. 11, at Congregation Beit Kodesh. She is the daughter of Dianne and David Raben. She is the granddaughter of the late Samuel and Yolanda Frontiera and the late Ben Raben and Mildred Kramer. Sabrina is sister to Jerry, Julie, Sharon, Rochelle, Damian and the late Kenny. She attends Frost Middle School in Livonia and enjoys rollerskating, music, dance, gymnastics and arts and crafts. Summer camp is an all-time favorite, where she excels in sports. Mitzvah projects include purchas- ing and giving stuffed toys to those in need and working with the reha- bilitation of wild animals. She loves to care for the younger children at social and private functions. Abby Rachel Kuzin will celebrate her bar mitzvah at Tern- ple Israel on Friday, Dec. 1 1. She is the daughter of Linda and Maurice Miller and Arthur Kuzin, sister of Heather and granddaughter of Anita and Lou Kuzin. She_ is also the grandchild of the late Louise and Bernard Weisman. Her most meaningful mitzvah project was earning funds to donate to MJAC to help find a cure for AIDS. An Abbott Middle School student in West Bloomfield, Abby is interested in tennis, dance and downhill skiing. Erika Beth Friedman will be called to the Torah as a bat mitzvah at Temple Israel on Friday, Dec. 11. She is the daughter of Lisa Friedman and Lawrence Friedman and sister of Jonathan and Benjamin. Attending Abbott Middle School in West Bloomfield, Erika enjoys snow and water skiing, tubing and white-water rafting.
