welcome with much love the birth of
their son, Ivan Isadore. Thrilled big
'sister and brothers are Meryl Bess, 8;
Harry Samuel, 6; Louis Morris, 5;
Nathan Joseph, 3; and Herbert
Aubrey, 2. Sharing in their happiness
are grandparents Hotche Pastor of
Cincinnati, Ohio, and Lillian and Irv-
ing Meisner of Southfield. Ivan
Isadore is named in loving memory of
his paternal great-great-uncle Ivan
Meisner.

Bar/Bat Mitzvah

Jeffrey Scott Levin

will be called to the
Torah as a bar mitz-
vah on Saturday,
Dec. 5, at Temple
Shir Shalom. Jeffrey
is the son of Audrey
and Michael Levin,
brother of Carrie
and grandson of Sam
and Florence Land-
man, Herb and Delores Levin and the
late Mildred Mandell.
Jeffrey is an honor student at Warn-
er Middle School in Farmington Hills.
He enjoys playing football, golf, bas-
ketball and playing in the school
band.
His mitzvah project involved work-
ing at Yad Ezra.

Julie Singer of Southfield will be

called to the Torah as a bat mitzvah at
Temple Beth El on
Saturday, Dec. 5.
Participating in the
ceremony will be her
parents, Lisa Singer
and Jeffrey Singer;
brother Eric Singer;
and proud grandpar-
ents Mrs. Dodo
Kepes, Mr. Ronald
Kepes and Mr. Nathan Singer. Julie is
also the great-granddaughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Arthur Kepes.
Julie is a student at Berkshire Mid-
dle School in Beverly Hills. She is
active in band, tennis, reading and
computers.
Mitzvah projects included working
as an aide in the temple religious
school and at the temple coat drive.

Zachary Jared Stuart

will become bar
mitzvah at Temple
Israel on Friday,
Dec. 4. He is the son
of Lori Stuart and
Peter and Sondra
Stuart, brother of
Alexandra and
grandchild of Margie and Bill Ober-
felder and Joyce Stuart. He is also the
grandson of the late Hershel Stuart.
His most meaningful mitzvah pro-
ject was assisting seniors at the Fleis-
chman Residence. Attending Abbott
Middle School in West Bloomfield,
Zach is interested in skiing, snow-
boarding, baseball and art.

Jordan Lee Grant

will celebrate his bar
mitzvah on Saturday,
Dec. 5, at Temple
Israel. He is the son
of Marcia and Steven
Boesky and Ronald
Grant and brother of
Justin Grant and
Blake Boesky. Proud grandparents are
Evelyn and Lou Grant and Betty and
Herbert Spoon.
Among his mitzvah projects, he
found the most meaningful to be vol-
unteering at Yad Ezra. An honor stu-
dent at Walled Lake Middle School in
Walled Lake, where he is on the foot-
ball team, Jordan also enjoys watching
professional sports.

Attending Walnut Creek Middle
School in Walled Lake, Daniel is
interested in playing the drums, work-
ing with computers, in-line hockey as
goalie and Indy car racing. He partic-
ularly enjoyed volunteering at the
Temple Israel Labor Day picnic as part
of his mitzvah projects.
