her experiences covering the
Israeli-Palestinian peace negotiations
when she speaks at the annual
VOICES program of the Jewish
Federation of Metropolitan Detroit
Business and Professional Women.
Mitchell, a 20-year correspondent
for NBC previously assigned to the
White House and Congress, has been
to Detroit many times to report on

political campaigns and presidential
travel. Her speech, scheduled Dec. 1
at Adat Shalom Synagogue, will give
her take on the Washington scene.
With foreign issues a constant in
her life, Mitchell often gets ready in a

Michigan, she was assigned to go to
Kuwait, but no sooner was she packed

Taking a breather from that swiftly
arranged and cancelled trip, Mitchell,
