David is an honor
eighth-grade student
at O.E. Dunckel
Middle School in
Farmington Hills. He
enjoys music, creat-
ing art, playing sports; his favorite
hobby is collecting sports cards and
sports memorabilia. His most meaning-
ful mitzvah projects were volunteering
at Yad Ezra and assisting with JARC.
Justin Scott Drilich was called to the
Torah as a bar mitzvah on Aug. 28, at
Temple Kol Ami. He is the son of Les-
ley and Terry Drilich, grandson of
Betty and Herbert
Drilich and Patricia
and Gerald Scott.
Justin was an
honor student at
Clifford Smart Mid-
dle School. He was a
member of the sev-
enth-grade basket-
ball team and partic-
ipated on the school track team. Justin
enjoys all types of music and plays the
bass in the school orchestra. He
attends Walnut Creek Middle School
in Walled Lake.
His mitzvah projects included
working at the Walled Lake Public
Library and initiating a children's new
and gently used book drive in his
neighborhood, with over 100 books
being donated to the children at the
Baldwin Center in Pontiac.
David Aaron Indig, son of Harry and
Karin Indig, celebrated his bar mitz-
vah at Congregation Shaarey Zedek
on Saturday, Nov. 7. His sister, Stacy
participated in the
ceremony. Proud

the occasion. David
is the grandson of
the late Benti Indig.
David is an honor
student at Abbott
Middle School in West Bloomfield,
where science is his favorite subject.
He participates in soccer, tennis,
aggressive in-line skating and football.
David also enjoys video games, corn-
puters, movies, talking on the phone
and dancing.
David participated in the Purim Par-
cel Project and volunteered at the Laker
Center as part of his mitzvah projects.
Sarah Schwartz of Huntington Woods
will be a bat mitzvah at Congregation
Shaarey Zedek Southfield on Saturday,
Nov. 14. Sarah is the daughter of
Cindy and Melvin Schwartz and the
twin sister of Meryl.

Meryl Schwartz of Huntington
Woods will have her bat mitzvah on
Saturday, Nov. 14, at Congregation
Shaarey Zedek in Southfield. She is
the daughter of Cindy and Melvin
Schwartz and the twin sister of Sarah.

Stephanie Miriam Cape will celebrate
her bat mitzvah at Havdalah services
at Temple Israel on Saturday, Nov. 14.
She is the daughter of Jeffrie and
Thomas Cape, sister of Phillip, Rebec-
ca and Jeremy. Proud grandparents are
Norma and Dr.
William Cape and
Beth Kon. She is also
the grandchild of the
late Frank Kon.
Because she finds
it important to work
with younger chil-
dren, Stephanie
enjoyed volunteering
at Temple Israel's religious school.
Attending Orchard Lake Middle School
in West Bloomfield, Stephanie likes to
read, play clarinet, piano and soccer,
and loves cats and "Backstreet Boys."
Jason Samuel Gitler will celebrate his
bar mitzvah at Temple Israel on Satur-
day, Nov. 14. He is the son of Shelley
and Joey Gitler, brother of Scott and
grandson of Rose and Norman Gitler
and Morris Berin. He is also the
grandchild of the late
Florence Berin.
His most mean-
ingful mitzvah pro-
ject involved donat-
ing to the
Alzheimer's Associa-
tion in loving memo-
ry of his grandmoth-
er. A student at
Banks Middle School in Walled Lake,
Jason enjoys listening to music and
participating in sports: baseball, bas-
ketball and football.
Jeffrey Ryan Fagan will observe his bar
mitzvah at Temple Israel on Saturday,
Nov. 14. He is the son of Marcia and
Barry Fagan, brother of Matthew, and
grandson of Paula and Karl Blair and
Lois and Rodney Fagan. Excited great-
grandmother is Regina Varrero.

Lindsay Gail Garfield will celebrate
her bat mitzvah at Temple Israel on
Friday, Nov. 13. She is the daughter of
Ilene and David
Garfield and sister of
Carrie and Michelle.

manos Cancer Institute. Attending
