Oar BARNET "BEN" BOOKSPAN, 89, of Rochester Hills, died Nov. 6. For over 40 years, Mr. Bookspan was a pharmacist with three stores. In the 1960's, he went into commercial prop- erty real estate and retired in the 1980's. Mr. Bookspan came to Detroit at the age of six or seven. He was able to put his brother, Saulie, through medical school and his sister, Nora, through college to become a teacher. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Deborah Bookspan of Rochester Hills and grandson, Mark Alan Bookspan. Mr. Bookspan was the beloved husband of the late Gay Bookspan and the loving brother of the late Pauline Richmond, the late Louie Bookspan and the late Saulie Bookspan. Mr. Brownstein was a food broker for Paul Inman & Associates.
