The Jewish Federation of
Metropolitan Detroit has named
immediate past president Robert
Naftaly chairman of the Federation
Executive Committee.
Elected at-large members are: Judge
Paul Borman, Phillip Fisher, Hugh
Greenberg, Selwyn Isakow, Jack
Robinson, Marta Rosenthal, Jane
Sherman, Robert Sosnick and David
Victor.

A disaster relief fund has been set up
by United Jewish Appeal Federations
of North America, of which the Jewish
Federation of Metropolitan Detroit is
a member, to help victims of
Hurricane Mitch in Honduras and
Nicaragua.
To date, more than 7,000 people
have been killed by the storm and
subsequent flooding. Thousands more
are missing. Survivors of the storm
require food and water and medicine
to help prevent the spread of water-
borne disease.

Is Planned

The Temple Beth El Sisterhood is
making plans for the 11th annual
Party Planning Showcase to be held
Sunday, Feb. 7, at the temple. The
day-long event will feature photogra-
phers, party planners, florists, caterers,
calligraphers, cartoonists, D.J.s, sou-
venir venders, video producers.
Visitors to the free event will
receive a guide listing party planning
experts. Showcase exhibitors are now
