Of Clothing ... Back in the 1960s some journalists started asking world leaders questions best left to junior psychologists: "If you were an animal," for example, "which would you be?" Cer- tainly this has left an indelible mark so many thinking lour- ( nalists would like to scrub away with a miracle cleaning product available only through an infomercial. The good news? It's a fun game for your child. Say to him, "If you were a piece of clothing, what would you be?" You can also ask about animals, foods, colors,. furni- ture — anything you can think of. You may go crazy, but he'll love it. #5) Name That Tune LOOK GOO D: a. • Professional Hair &' Nail Supplies • Custom Cosmetics • Tanning & Skin Care SMELL GREAT: • Discount Designer • Fragrances • The Newest the Classics & the hard to find favorites FEEL .SENSATIONA L • Bath & Body Oils, Shower Gels • Powders & Cremes AND . Try starting with about 10 I notes from some great number like "Jack and Jill." See how quickly she guesses the tune. I #6) Author, Author, Author, Author ... Children love hearing and, telling stories. If you start this game with them, it may never end. One per- , son begins the adventure. After about three minutes he should end at a good jumping-off point for the second per- son, who will contin- ue the story. The more the merrier with this game, where everyone can have a chance to add to the tale. #7) What Would You Do? Children learn a great deal by being presented with, and gently guided through, moral challenges. Make up a story that will get your child think ing; you'll not only entertain him, you'll help him learn skills for living. Best of all, this comes in the form of a game so it doesn't sound like a drea- ry parental lecture. For example: "You have a neighbor who is always corn- ing over to play at your home. One day she comes over — again --and you just can't bear the thought of seeing her. Your brother offers to lie and say you're sick. What do you do?" .#8) The Gerbraffe This game is pure silli- ness. Begin by draw- ing half an animal. It -can be any part — the back or front half, the top or bot- tom, but it needs to be half. The second player then draws the other half, but it must be a different ani- mal. Next comes your new crea- ture's name. If his top half is that of a gerbil, and his bottom is that of a giraffe, you have a gerbraffe, of course! For more fun, figure out what your gerbraffe likes to eat and where he lives.
