Agencies Sign
For Volunteers

Agencies that need volunteer help on
Friday, Dec. 25, are being sought for
the Jewish Federation's annual
Volunteer Extravaganza.
Orr that day, 500 volunteers of all
ages will spruce up shelters, serve food
to the needy, provide companionship
to older adults and relieve workers
who wish to spend the holiday with
their families.
Starting at 9 a.m. from the Max M.
Fisher Federation Building in
Bloomfield Hills, groups of 10 or
more-volunteers, directed by a site
coordinator, will head out to work at
each location. More than 30 agencies
are being sought to place all the vol-
unteers.
The Volunteer Extravaganza is a
cooperative venture of the Jewish
Federation's Community Outreach
and Education Department, Young
Adult Division, Women's Campaign
and Education Department and

Mary Lou Zieve of Bloomfield Hills
has been elected to the board of direc-
tors of the Michigan Historical Center
Foundation. For nearly 30 years,
Zieve was a board member and officer
for the American Federation of
Television and Radio Artists. She
serves as president of the board of the
Detroit Historical Society, is a found-
ing member and past president of the
Jewish Ensemble Theatre, and a board
member for the Greater Detroit
Interfaith Round Table.

Shay Goldenberg of Huntington
Woods was inducted into the
National Honor Society at Berkley
High School. Among his honors, Shay
was a winner of a Gold Key in the
National Scholastic Art Competition,
is first vice-president of Marx AZA,
has received his letter in varsity tennis
and is listed in the Who Who of
American High School Students.
