Chanukah giving has a new twist this
year thanks to the Jewish Federation's
"Simply Tzedakah" tribute program,
which links local families to Jews
around the world through the Allied
Jewish Campaign.
Instead of a gift on one night of
Chanukah, everyone is encouraged
to make a minimum $18 donation
to the 1999 Allied Jewish Campaign
in honor of a loved one, friend— or
anyone, child or adult. Campaign
gifts benefit many programs and ser-
vices relating to children, older
adults, disabled people, new
Americans, refugees and at-risk fam-
ilies.
Those honored by the contribution
will receive a certificate and a small
gift from Federation. Gina Horwitz
chairs the project.
Checks should be made payable
to the Allied Jewish Campaign and
mailed prior to Dec. 1 with the
recipient's name and address and the
donor's name and address ro Tanya
Mazor-Posner, Jewish Federation of
Metropolitan Detroit, P.O. Box
2030, Bloomfield Hills, MI 48303-

2030.

For details, call Ms. Mazor-Posner
at Federation, (248) 203-1456. .
