"gas, with the latest agreement. "I can't really make comments unless [the Palestinians] follow through and stop the incitement to murder and stop teaching hate," she said. Sharfman is a member of Mothers Against Teaching Children to Kill and Hate (MATCKH), a local orga- nization founded recently to protest a Palestinian Authority-funded chil- dren's television show that praises suicide bombers. The group also works to expose other Palestinian propaganda directed at children. "You can't have peace while peo- ple are teaching to kill," she said. "The reaction of everybody is, let's wait and see, let's not start cele- brating because we celebrated four years ago and nothing has hap- pened," she said. She noted that 65 percent of Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza are currently unem- ployed and — due to Israeli restric- tions — are unable to travel freely within the Palestinian Authority or to Israel.
