Mrs. Scharf was a professional singer and a renowned soprano in New York. She had her own radio show, "Judith Pearl Sings," and introduced Tony Martin. Mrs. Scharf was a past president of the National Council of Jewish Women in New York, was a membership chairman of the Broward Symphony Orchestra and a China Painting Guild member for which she received numerous awards.
