Michael's parents are Marty and Brenda Berkowitz of Walled Lake. Of the birthday gift, Mom explains, "I'm deathly allergic to real dogs and cats, so Michael settles for the stuffed version instead." Michael's hobbies are hockey, soccer and roller -blad- ing. He is in fifth-grade at Walled Lake Elementary School, where he is the sports editor of the school paper; managed the school bank and served on the student council. Michael's proud grandpar- ents are Ethel and Al Feldstein, and Louis Gelman. - -- Could this be the next Mark Spitz?
