Shir Tikvah
Celebrates

The public is invited to join
Congregation Shir Tikvah, beginning
at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 12, at its—,
annual Simchat Torah celebration.
Upon unrolling the Torah parch-
ment which is supported by the adults
in attendance, Rabbi Arnie walks
young participants throughout Jewish
history by pointing out momentous
events in the Torah.

Shaarey Zedek
Family Shabbat

Congregation Shaarey Zedek will begin
Simi Shabbat, a family service for those
with young children, Saturday, Oct. 10.
Rabbis Joseph Krakoff and Stephen
Weiss will lead the service along with
Rena Cohen, Janet Pont and Rena
Weintraub.
Shabbat songs and prayers and a
special Torah story will be featured.
Families will be able to participate and
will enjoy a special kiddush. The ser-
vice is 11:15-11:45 a.m. at the
Southfield synagogue.
