W

hen Herb Kaufman's daughters Ilene and Patty were old enough to type, they

hand typed yahrzeit notices and envelopes on an IBM Selectric typewriter.

Knowing Ira Kaufman's great grandson Chad and great granddaughter Stephanie were

monitoring the chapel's Web site and answering e-mail inquires, we don't have to imagine

the smile on Ira's face, we just look

at Grandpa Herbie.

Schultz was an auto parts executive.
He was also a member of B'nai
B'rith.
Mr. Schultz is survived by his
sons and daughter-in-law, Leslie
Schultz of West Bloomfield and
fiance, Lynn Fenberg, Ronald
and Elaine Schultz of Troy; grand-
children, Gregory and Tami Schultz,
Terri and Todd Stearn, Brian
Schultz. He was the beloved hus-
band of the late Jean Schultz.
Interment at Clover Hill Park
Cemetery. Contributions may

JOEL SCOTT SERLIN, 31, of
Iowa City, Iowa, died ,Sept. 22. He
was a writer and literature major.
He is survived by Mr. and Mrs.
Al Serlin-Resnick of Southfield; Mr.
and. Mrs. Alan Serlin of New Mexi-
co; brother, Richard Serlin of South-
field; sister, Michelle Serlin of Kala-
mazoo; friend, Andrea Field of
Chicago.

Farmington Hills, died Sept. 25.

Tennebaum of Columbus, Ohio;

great-grandchildren. He was the
beloved husband of the late Mary
Tennebaum.
Graveside services were held at
the Hebrew Memorial Park
Cemetery in Clinton Township.

LILLIAN " BILLIE" WALTERS , 82,
of West Bloomfield, died Sept. 21.
Mrs. Walters was a member of B'nai

She is survived by her husband,
