Eilu v' Eilu
Hebrew Class

Eilu v' Eilu, the joint adult Jewish
learning project of the Detroit
Conservative Movement, will offer
Beginner-Plus Conversational Hebrew
taught by Ahuva Newman at
Congregation Beth Shalom.
The class will meet on seven
Wednesday nights, Oct. 7 through
Nov. 18, from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m.
Tuition is $105 for members of orga-
nizations which sponsor Eilu v' Eilu.

Resource Center
Expands Hours

The Educational Resource Center at
the Agency for Jewish Education 41
have new expanded hours for the fall
and new evening hours. The new day-
time hours are as follows: Mondays 10
a.m.-3 p.m.; Wednesdays noon-5
p.m.; Thursdays and Fridays 10 a.m.-1
p.m.
Tuesdays, the center will be closed.
The Resource Center will be open the
first Thursday evening and third
Monday evening of the month.
The evening dates are as follows:
Thursday evenings from 7-9 p.m.
Oct. 1, Nov. 5, and Dec. 3; and
Monday evenings from 6-8 p.m. Oct.
19, Nov. 16, and Dec. 14.

The Educational Resource Center
houses over 100 audio tapes, 500
video tapes, craft ideas, games, posters,
books and supplies to enrich the class-
room. Internet access and Judaic soft-
ware is now also available for use at

AJC VOICES
Hold Fund-Raiser

The 1999 Allied Jewish Campaign
mill benefit from the next Business
and Professional Women's fund-raising
event, VOICES, to be held 6 p.m.
Tuesday, Dec.1, at Adat Shalom
Synagogue.
Guests at the event will be asked to
make a minimum pledge of $180 to
the Women's Campaign.
NBC News Chief Foreign Affairs
Correspondent Andrea Mitchell will
be the guest speaker. Prior to being
named chief foreign affairs correspon-
dent, Ms. Mitchell was NBC News'
chief White House correspondent.
Admission to the Business and
Professional Women's VOICES pro-
gram is $25 in addition to the mini-
mum $180 pledge to the 1999
Women's Allied Jewish Campaign.
Dinner and dessert will be served.
Babysitting is available upon request
for children age 2 1/2 and up by reser-
vation before Friday, Nov. 6.
