Israel Album

Jennifer Goldberg, 16, of West Bloom-
field, made her first visit to Israel this
past summer — an experience that
deepened apprecia-
tion of her Jewish
heritage.
"The experience
that most influenced
my feelings of being
Jewish would be visit-
ing the Kotel," said
the West Bloomfield
High 11th grader.
"For me, the wall symbolizes freedom,
hope and a place where three religions
that once were at war can come and
pray together. This experience helped
me to realize how much my religion
means to me."
She's active in Monday night school
at Temple Beth El and in BBYO,
which, she says, "has helped me to meet
so many Jewish teens, learn leadership
skills and more about my Jewish her-
itage."
Jennifer is the daughter of Sherry
and Jeffrey Goldberg. She has a brother,
Jared, 14.
