Machon norah, the Jewish Learning
Network of Michigan, will hold a pro-
gram 11 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 27, for the
Russian outreach division at Machon.
The program will feature a lecture by
Rabbi Avraham Jacobovitz on the topic
of "Yom Kippur: The Celebration of
Spiritual Purity" Roman Lundin will
translate the lecture into Russian simul-
taneously.
Refreshments will be served. There is

Famzly Matters
Forum Set

A series of workshops will be held for
participants in the Family Matters II
forum to be held 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct.
10, at Temple Israel.
Theme for the evening is "Loving to
Learn: Jewish Values and Child
Development." Sponsors are the Jewish
Federation of Metropolitan Detroit's
Community Outreach and Education
Department and its Avenues program,
Michigan Psychoanalytic Institute and
The Jewish News.
Dr. Don Spivak will be the guest
speaker. A board-certified psychiatrist
with certification in psychoanalysis, Dr.
Spivak treats adults, children and ado-
lescents.
Admission fee is $20 per person. A
dessert reception will follow.

Hebrew Class
For Beginners

The Agency for Jewish Education-
Midrasha will open a new beginner
Hebrew class in Southfield, at the
Agency for Jewish Education, 21550 W.
12 Mile Road, Southfield.
The class will start 7:30-9:30 p.m.

for 14 weeks. There is a fee and a dis-
count to senior citizens, educators and
Jewish communal workers.

The Young Israel Teens of Young Israel
