never too late to make your money work harder for you!
Compare our CD rates with your bank's rate---and your
bank will probably start looking very old fashioned!

China Venture

Jerusalem (JPFS) — Israel Chemicals
and its subsidiary Dead Sea Works
pproved their previously announced
plans to build a $486 million fertiliza-
tion complex in western China.
The project is a joint venture with
the Chinese government. The Israelis
will hold a 33 percent share in the
project.
The complex, which will be located
in Golmud, in the Qinghai region, is
expected to generate 300,000 tons of
raw potash annually, which will then
be processed into fertilizer.
China uses nearly 5 percent of the
world's entire potash output.
The Chinese venture and its pro-
jected 1,400 employees are expected
to expand Dead Sea's annual output to
3.5 million tons.
