Messer Shoes); subsequently, he worked in furniture sales and interi- or design. he enjoyed a service-ori- ented retirement career as Gray Pan- ther treasurer, nursing home ombudsman for Citizens for Better Care, member of Oak Park Arts and Cultural Committee, public school aide for children with special needs, Sholem Aleichem Institute choir member, book club participant, five- mile walker.
