mother is Estelle Kay. She is also the
grandchild of the late Aubrey Wolf.
Her most meaningful mitzvah pro-
ject was donating to the Michigan
Jewish AIDS Coalition. An honor roll
student at Orchard Lake Middle
School in West Bloomfield, Amanda
enjoys music and dance as well as
travel.

Sam Siegel of Bloomfield Hills will
become a bar mitzvah at Temple Beth
El on Saturday, Sept. 19. Rabbi Syme,
Rabbi Castiglione,
Rabbi Goloboy and
Cantor Dubov will
lead services. Partici-
pating in the cere-
mony will be par-
ents, Dr. and Mrs.
Barry Siegel, and
brother Aaron.
Proud grandparents
are Rosalind Siegel of Huntington
Woods, Norman Siegel of West
Bloomfield and Mr. and Mrs. Joseph
Bernstein of Glencoe, Ill.
Sam is a student at the Birming-
ham Covington School. He is active
in sports, playing on a travel soccer
team.
His mitzvah projects included
working at Gleaners, participating in
the Hands-on Detroit Day and help-
ing out at the Ronald McDonald
House at Children's Hospital.

Daniel Kahn, 14, of West Bloom-
field, visited Israel this summer.
"I felt a special feeling of being
Jewish at the Western Wall," said
Daniel, a ninth grader at Eaton
Academy." "It was amazing to see the
huge stones that have stood there for
thousands of years. We all wrote
notes and hunted for a spot to insert
them."
He added, "Studies at my Hebrew
high school will help me become
more involved with the Jewish corn,-
munity, which I value."
Daniel is the son of Karen and Joel
Kahn. He has a brother Jacob and a
sister Jessica. The family is affiliated
with Congregation Shaarey Zedek
B'nai Israel.
