Zachary Rosman Schwartz of Hunt-
ington Woods will observe his bar
mitzvah at Temple Emanu-El on Sat-
urday, Sept. 19. He
is the son of Ellen
and Seymour
Schwartz, brother of
Andy, and grandson
of Shirley and
Charles SchWartz,
Grace and Carl Ros-
man and the late
Mae Rosman.
A student at Norup Middle School
in Berkley, Zack enjoys participating
in many sports, including baseball,
basketball and in-line hockey. He
enjoys art, music, video games.
In preparation for his bar mitzvah,
Zack volunteered as an assistant coun-
selor at a community summer day
camp and helped at Yad Ezra.

Zachary Sklar will be called to the
Torah as a bar mitzvah at Temple Shir
Shalom on Friday, Sept. 18. Zachary
is the son of Sherry
and Larry Sklar,
brother of Michelle
and Ryan. Proud
grandparents are
Fanny Zuckerman
and Marcia and
Bernard Sklar. His
great-grandmother is
Florence Yovis.
Zachary is an honor student at
Warner Middle School in Farmington
Hills, where his favorite subject is
math. He enjoys playing the trumpet,
baseball and golf. As part of his mitz-
vah project, Zachary organized a walk
to raise money for the Humane Soci-
ety.

Stephanie Beth Lezell was called to
the Torah as a bat mitzvah on Satur-
day, Aug. 29, at Adat Shalom Syna-
gogue. Stephanie is
the daughter of
Shelly and Michael
Gordon and Stuart
Lezell, sister of Stacy
and Steven. Proud
grandparents are Leo
Rochkind, Miriam .
and Marvin Saffer of
Fla., Ida Woodrow
of Colo., Hy and Shirley Lezell of
Fla., the late Geraldine Rochkind, the
late Jules Gordon and the late Bess
Carp.
Stephanie is an honor student at
West Hills Middle School in Bloom-
field Hills. She enjoys music and

movies. Her most meaningful mitzvah
project was helping feed the homeless
through Adat Shalom Synagogue.

Samantha Jaclyn Huss will become a
bat mitzvah on Saturday, Sept. 19, at
Temple Israel. She is the daughter of
Allan Huss"and
Susan Stallard and
sister of Leah,
Michelle and Adam.
She is also the child
of the late Sandra
Huss. Proud grand-
parents are Lorraine
and Henry Cohn
and Emily and
Henry Huss.
Among her mitzvah projects, she
volunteered at Fleischman Residence,
helping with games and activities, as
well as assisting with the younger
children at a day camp. An Orchard
Lake Middle School student, in West
Bloomfield, Samantha enjoys swim-
ming and crafts.

Sean Joseph Spaniol will be bar
mitzvah on Saturday, Sept. 19, at
Congregation B'nai Moshe.
Sean is the son of
Ron and Susan
Spaniol, and the
grandson of Ruth
Richardson and
Magdeline Spaniol.
He is a eighth
grader at Orchard
Lake Middle School
in West Bloomfield
and enjoys playing hockey and work-
ing with computers.

Scott Robert Evans will observe his
bar mitzvah at Temple Israel on Satur-
day, Sept. 19. He is the son of Donna
and Rock Evans and
brother of Glenn
and Eric. Proud
grandparents are
Marjorie and Jerome
Robbins and
Colleen and Robert
Evans.
Mitzvah projects
included volunteer-
ing in Temple Israel's Media Center
and assisting senior citizens and
donating to the Holocaust Memorial
Center. Attending Oak Valley Middle
School in Commerce Township, Scott
plays football, basketball and baseball,
collects sports memorabilia and auto-
graphs.
