Applebaum is Lucy Gersten
a past presi-
dent of JWI Council as well as Israel
Chapter and JWI Marshall Israel
Brandeis Chapter. Mrs. Gersten is a
past president of JWI Council and
past president of JWI Centennial
Chapter. She is a vice president on
the JWI National Board. At this
year's luncheon, the JWI Council will
honor their first "Woman of
Achievement" to be announced.
Funds raised through this luncheon
and the Services Appeal support the
Children's Home at the Residential
Treatment Center for emotionally
disturbed boys and girls in Bayit
Vagan, Israel.

guest speaker. A board-certified psy-
chiatrist with certification in psycho-
analysis, Dr. Spivak treats adults,
children and adolescents.
The program will also feature
workshops dealing with the evening's
topic. Among the workshop topics
are: the "sandwich generation," deal-

ing with middle school years, mourn-
ing, parenting skills, Jewish values
and adoption issues.
Admission fee is $20 per person. A
dessert reception will follow. reserva-
tion deadline is Oct. 2.
