Do you have a great joke to
share with readers of The
AppleTree? If so, please send it
our way.
Meanwhile thanks to Dorothy
Domnitch of Berkley who sent
us these two great jokes.
A mother, holding the hand of
her 4-year-old daughter, was at
the delicatessen counter order-
ing lox. The clerk pointed to
two varieties of lox and asked,
"Which lox do you want?" The
4-year-old piped up:
"Goldilocks!"
Right-walking shoe to left

you don't?"
Left-walking shoe to right
shoe: "Because I'm tongue-
tied."

Grandparents, do you remember
the childhood pleasure of looking
through old catalogs and select-
ing favorite items? Or how about
mixing flavors atop shaved ice to
make your own snowcones?
And grandchildren, do you
think that computer games are
tops, or that collecting Beanie
Babies can't be beat?
The AppleTree is looking for
grandparents (of any age) and grandchildren (aged 4-16) in metro
Detroit for a story about favorite toys and activities then and now.
(Because we will be taking photographs of grandparents with their
grandchildren for the article, both MUST reside locally).
Are you interested? If so, please call The AppleTree at (248) 548
9176, ext. 308. Calls will be accepted through Thursday, Sept.
17.
Speaking carefully, leave your name and phone number. If we can
use your services, we'll call you no later than Friday, Sept. 19.
(PLEASE LEAVE A NUMBER THAT INCLUDES AN ANSWERING
MACHINE.) For space reasons, we will be able to feature the first
10 callers only. Ii
