Elects Board

At its recent annual meeting, the

Hebrew Free Loan Association held
elections.
Re-elected as president was Stuart J.
Snider. Other officers for the coming
year are: vice presidents, Robert M.
Citrin and Laurie Frankel; treasurer,
Arthur Liss; secretary David Wallace.
Newly elected to the board of
directors for their first terms were
Michael Banks, Dr. David Kirsh and
Andrew Teitel.

Midrasha
Classes Set

The Midrasha Center for Adult
Jewish Studies-Agency for Jewish
Education will hold Hebrew classes
in the fall. Classes will begin the
week of Sept. 13, at the Agency for
Jewish Education, 21550 West 12
Mile Road, Southfield, and the Kahn
Jewish Community Center.
Two special Hebrew language and
literature classes are offered on
Sundays, 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m., and
on Wednesday, 10 a.m.-noon, for
students who are fluent in Hebrew,
Hebrew teachers who wish to
improve their comprehension and
conversational skills and anyone
wishing to participate in advanced
Hebrew study.
All classes run for 14 weeks. There
is a fee. For information and for
placement, call Nira Lev. (248) 354-

Glennwood ORT
Hosts Speaker

Glennwood ORT's next general
meeting will be 7:30 p.m..
Wednesday, Sept. 16, at the ORT
building, 31275 Northwestern Hwy.,
Farmington Hills; (248) 855-9820.
The speaker will be Cynthia
"Chabbie" from the St. Vincent and
Sarah Fisher Center.

Institute Plans
Pot Luck Supper

The Sholem Aleichem Institute will
open the new season with a pot luck
supper 6:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 13,
at the Franklin Pointe Clubhouse,
26361 Franklin Pointe Drive in
Southfield. Members and friends are
invited to take part and hear about
plans for the year's activities.
The SAI's annual holiday assem-
blies will be held at Orchard Lake
Middle School, 6000 Orchard Lake
Road, West Bloomfield. The sched-
ule is as follows: Rosh Hashanah:
Monday, Sept. 2 1 , 1 0 a.m.-noon;
Kol Nidre: Tuesday, Sept. 29, 8 p.m.-
9:30 p.m.: Yom Kippur: Wednesday.
Sepr. 30, 10 a.m.-noon.
The public is invited. No tickers
are required. The assembly texts are
in English, Yiddish and Hebrew. For
